A bit about me...
I have been designing professionally for fifteen years and In that time I have helped various Brands create & develop their product ranges. At present I am the Packaging Technologist for the ethical global cosmetics brand Lush Ltd.
In 2005 I graduated with BA in Product Design from from Central Saint Martins in London and after a short stint in retail I went to work for Poole Lighting; the largest lighting supplier in Europe. There I designed products for clients such as John Lewis, B&Q, Maxeda, Wickes, Screwfix & Laura Ashley as-well as their own brands Endon & Saxby.
I then went on to become Senior Designer at the Iconic British Heritage Brand & Inventors of the Lava Lamp; Mathmos Ltd. There I was reponsible for designing a new generation of exciting Lava Lamp products aswell as maintaining & updating the existing range.
My experience has helped me develop a user focused approach to the design process and combine this with a strong awareness for branding & marketing as well as the practicalities of operations, supply chain and manufacturing.
As a person I'm creative & passionate about working for companies that want to create value for people through their products. As a designer I'm well versed with CAD and Rendering software & enjoy being hands on; as comfortable making card sketch models or pressure casting resin parts as I am using a 3d printer.
