A bit about me...

I am an Industrial Product designer with 17 years of professional experience, specializing in product development and technical design. Currently, I am the Technical Design & Development Lead at Mathmos Ltd.

I graduated in 2005 with a BA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins in London. After a brief stint in retail, I joined Poole Lighting, Europe's largest lighting supplier, where I designed products for major clients such as John Lewis, B&Q, Maxeda, Wickes, Screwfix, and Laura Ashley, as well as for their own brands, Endon and Saxby.

My career path then led me to Mathmos Ltd, the iconic British heritage brand and inventors of the Lava Lamp. As Senior Designer, I was responsible for developing a new generation of innovative Lava Lamp products while maintaining and updating the existing range.

Following this, I gained valuable experience as Packaging Technologist at the globally recognised ethical brand Lush Cosmetics. Working with the global buying team at LUSH, I co-created, developed, and tested innovative packaging solutions aligned with Lush's commitment to environmental sustainability and social regeneration.

My design process is user-focused, blending creativity with a strong understanding of branding, marketing, and the operational aspects of manufacturing, supply chains, and product delivery.

I am passionate about creating value through design and enjoy working with companies that prioritize quality and innovation. As a designer, I am proficient in CAD and rendering software, but I’m equally hands-on—whether creating card models, pressure casting resin parts, or using a 3D printer.
